My kick-butt video guy, Dan, is taking Film and Media at Niagara College, and one of his projects this year was to put together a "feature" for Cogeco Cable.
Since Dan and I work so well together, and since he's got a ton of footage of me shooting already, he decided to do his feature on me as a wedding photographer.
This feature/video isn't necessarily promotional, or a commercial, at all, but it's more so about my philosophy - why I do what I do, and why I love being a photographer.
I really really love this video Dan put together, so I thought that I would share it. Dan does some amazing work, and he is so great to work with - he's going places, that's for sure!
The feature is going to be airing on Cogeco Cable (Channel 10) at some point in the next few weeks (no date set yet), so I'll keep you updated so that you can watch me from your living rooms (as if you don't already watch me enough!)
I hope that you enjoy the feature, and please feel free to leave any comments in the "Comment" section below!

A project-of-love that Al and I are super excited about is BcapTV - an online collection of video episodes of us talking about wedding and portrait photography.
Let's first explain how we arrived at the idea of BcapTV.
As you may know, we're planning our own wedding for 2010, and as a groom-and-bride-to-be, we've been doing a ton of reading on every different aspect of our wedding day - etiquette, flowers, decorations, cakes, music, and so on. It seems that every vendor has a long brochure of information for us to read.
We thought "Man, all this reading is tiring! If only there was another way to get all this information. Maybe something a little bit more stimulating?!".
Now, from our perspective as wedding photographers, we find that the best way to answer questions and explain things to our couples is to do it in-person. At the same time, though, we get a ton of inquiries from couples asking a lot of the same question. We always think "it would be best to explain this is in person to them", but, there are only so many hours in the day!
So, the idea of BcapTV was born! We thought it would be really neat if we could have some videos online that answered a lot of these frequently asked questions. Although videos aren't quite as effective as explaining things in person, they sure are better than writing it in an e-mail!
Then we figured - why stop with just FAQ? Why not do more? So, we went ahead to expand the scope of BcapTV to include some videos of us talking about all of our great products - albums, prints, books, cards, etc. Then it grew from there, and we're now featuring video-testimonials from couples that we have photographed in the past, so you can get some insight into how their experience was. We're also featuring some video-testimonials and vendor-tours of other wedding vendors that we love. We'll also have a ton of behind-the-scenes videos of us in action, shooting weddings, engagement sessions, trash-the-dresses, and so on.
We hope that by watching the videos on BcapTV, you'll get some insight into wedding photography, and we hope to make things a little bit easier for you (or at the very least, decrease the amount of reading that you have to do!)
We post a couple of video episodes every week, so be sure to check back every now and then to get some more juice!
So, welcome! And check out this intro video!
