This past week, Robert Nowell and I hosted our "Weddings in Wine Country" wedding photography workshop. In case you haven't already checked it out, check out our educational website for photographers at http:///www.enlightenmeblog.com.
Rob and I have hosted a whole whack of seminars and one-on-one consultations already, but our "Weddings in Wine Country" workshop was the first "big" workshop. Attendees stayed overnight with us at the Oban Inn in stunning Niagara-on-the-Lake, and were immersed in all things weddings - marketing, branding, workflow, shooting, and much more!
We had an amazing group with us - very intimate and hands-on, which is what we really wanted. I'd like to extend a special thank-you to a few great individuals:
Tara and Melissa from Planned to a T who helped us plan all of the details and who arranged all of our accomodations. They did an amazing job, and everything truly was "planned to a T". If you are looking for a wedding or event planner, be sure to give them a buzz!
Celia and all of the staff at the Oban Inn completely blew us away and surpassed our expectations. Everything from the service, the food to all of the coffee breaks and amazing baked-goods that we had throughout the week was PERFECT!
Niagara Classic Cars and Cabs who graciously provided us with transportation for our photo-shoots, and allowed us use of their Rolls Royce car for a "prop" on our shoot.
Vine Floral who provided flowers for the workshop and photo-shoot.
Weddings Heidi Style who provided our bridal attire for our model.
St. Marks church in Niagara-on-the-Lake who allowed us use of their church for the "ceremony" portion of our photo-shoot.
Chateau des Charmes who allowed us use of their vineyard and reception area for our "portrait" session of the photo-shoot.
And of course, we can't forget about our amazing sponsors:
- VisionArt books
- Simply Canvas
- RadioPoppers
I'd also like to thank Dave of Dave and Charlotte for guest-speaking for us on Tuesday evening. And, lastly, I'd like to thank the wonderful Robert Nowell (my partner in crime) for all of his hard work and dedication for this workshop.
Here's a few of my favorite images from our photo-shoot portion of the workshop. I hope that you enjoy them!

Enough rambling, now .. on to the photos!!
"This workshop was amazing! Since I had already attended a seminar from you guys, I had HIGH expectation coming into this. But once again, you have exceeded all my expectation. The information you have provided us could not have been any better. You made sure all of our questions were answered, helped us to improve our techniques, help us tremendously in EVERY area of our business and MORE! What can I say.. you guys rock! This is the best money I have ever invested in my company! Thank you, Johanne" - Johanne Guignard
