Stephanie and Adrian's wedding, last weekend, was a wonderful day. Stephanie is the planner of all planners, and her and Adrian did a fabulous job at coordinating every little detail for their wedding.
Their wedding was vintage-styled and themed, and they pulled it off to a T. When I saw everything come together, I knew that I had to photograph the wedding slightly different than what I am traditionally used to, to match Stephanie's dream of a vintage-inspired wedding.
Stephanie, once-upon-a-time, compared me and my work to that of Jose Villa. For those non-photographers who don't know who Jose Villa is, he is one of the world's most renown photographers, and his work has won awards, internationally. Jose's work is vintage-inspired, if I could pick any word to describe it, and to have my work compared to his was very flattering.
While I wanted to match the vintage-inspired mood and feeling in my photographs, I wanted to stay true to my original style of clean, crisp and classic. You won't see any yellow skies or funky vintage-y effects on my images. Instead, you will see simply, vintage-inspired clean images.
Enjoy some of these photographs from Stephanie and Adrian's day, and let me know, in the "Comment" section, below, how I did with the "Vintage-inspired" photographs!
"Wow, what a gorgeous wedding! I love all the details. The bride styled their wedding perfectly. I enjoyed viewing their sneak peek! As a side note, I love how big you made your watermark. A friend commented on the bride's Facebook display photo and I was able to track down your blog. Definitely bookmarking you to follow your photography!" - Michelle
"Personally, I think you did a tres-fab job!!! Thank you again so much! You guys are fantastic - the "Jose Villa" of the North :) steph" - Stephanie
