The wedding day is an enjoyable celebration of a couple's love for each other, and it symbolizes the union of two families. Aside from taking great photographs, one of the most important thing for us is that we provide a positive experience for our couples, their families and their wedding party on their wedding day. We not only want to partake in the FUN of the wedding day, but we want to contribute to it!

As a wedding photographer, we are typically with our bride and/or groom for almost the entire wedding day. We are almost like a wedding planner in a way, helping with details, giving advice, and often even pinning the boutonnieres on the groomsmen. This is exactly why the experience that we provide and the environment that we help create on the wedding day is so important.

Two words can describe the type of experience that we always provide for our couples - fun and relaxed.

This holds true for Michelle and Matt. We had a GREAT time at their wedding this past weekend. Michelle and Matt are totally in love with photographs and when our couples love it as much as we do, it makes our job that much easier. From getting all of the details set out in order for us, to giving us lots of time for photographing the two of them, Michelle and Matt ran a tight and organized ship, photography-wise!

If I had to choose three words to describe Renee and Bobby's wedding, those words would be fun, laid back and well planned.

It was fun because of Renee and Bobby's great sense of humour, amazingly hilarious wedding party, and their outgoing, dance-a-holic guests.

It was laid back because Renee and Bobby were completely and entirely relaxed throughout the whole day. There was no stress, no anxiousness and no rushing. This was largely in part due to the fact that they decided to see each other before the ceremony, have their portraits taken before the ceremony, and then relax and enjoy the cocktails with their guests between the ceremony and reception.

It was well-planned not only because they are incredibly organized and detailed, but also because they hired the amazing Tara Santo from Planned to a T as their wedding planner, who did an beautiful job hiring the best wedding professionals, orchestrating the flow of the day, decorating the hall, and taking care of other little details throughout the way.

So there you have it, Renee and Bobby's day in three words (in my opinion, at least). Now, I present to you ... Renee and Bobby's wedding in images.

Our first wedding as a married couple ... the wedding of Kelly and Elder! After having been married and been photographed at our wedding, it has given us a totally new perspective and appreciation on wedding photography for our couples.

This past weekend, we photographed the wedding of Alyssa and Shawn in Burlington, Ontario. It was an incredibly unique and special wedding for Alyssa and Shawn. The ceremony was held in their favourite spot in the forest, and even though it was pouring rain, it was intimate and beautiful.

One of the greatest advantages to being a wedding photographer is that we are always given opportunities to experience different culture, family dynamics and traditions. We are honoured to be welcomed in to our couples' families and friends with open arms, and we are privileged to be able to document their special day and create images that will be very dear to them for years to come.

Last Sunday, we had the opportunity to experience our first Sikh wedding, with Faisal and Susan. We had done a great deal of research, and were well-educated from Faisal and Susan as to what we should expect, but nothing could have prepared us better than the real thing. It was such a unique day for Al and I - a completely new culture that, previously, was foreign to us. The traditions, the language, the colours, the dynamics, the logistics, everything was new. It was a wonderful experience, and we are looking forward to photographing more East-Indian events in the future.

They say a picture tells a thousand words, so instead of trying to explain how breathtakingly beautiful the day was, simply enjoy some of our favourite images.
