We photographed the wedding of Ashley and Braden this past Saturday, and what a beautiful wedding it was! The ceremony and reception took place at Braden's parent's house, in Scotland (Ontario). They have done an incredible job landscaping their backyard, and I don't even think that photographs will do it justice.

The wedding was planned by the ever-so-lovely Tara from Planned to a T, and she had every i dotted and t crossed. No detail was overlooked!

Ashley and Braden, like many of our couples, opted to do a first sighting before the ceremony for their portraits.

Last evening, I met up with Andrew and Katrine for their maternity session, which is the first of their Bellies and Babies collection with me. Come October, we'll be getting together again for their newborn session.

We had a wonderful time down at Balls Falls, and really capture some great images for the two of them. We'll be seeing Andrew and Katrine, again, in a couple of weeks, at Tara and Dave's wedding. Andrew is Dave's brother, and that's how he and Katerin came to find me. Small world!

We always love photographing big happy families - there lots of love to go around, everyone ALWAYS has a great time, and we get to see old friends, again!

Amy and Rich tied the knot last Sunday, and we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to see two of our past clients at the wedding - Rich's brother, Shawn (and Kristen), whose wedding we photographed in 2008, and Rich's other brother, Dave (and Nicole), whose family portraits we photographed in 2009. It was like a big reunion!

Amy and Rich had a wonderful day, full of love, happiness and crazy-fun. Their wedding party was a blast, and they were up for ANYTHING! The proof is in the pudding ... check out the photograph of everyone arranged in and around the bridge (below). Way cool!

We say it all of the time - every wedding is different, unique and personal - and it is so true. We met with a wonderful couple yesterday to talk about their wedding and we had a great conversation about how our couples hire us for our photographic style and the experience that we provide.

While our photographic style is consistent, what we capture and how we capture it often varies, as we match the style and personality of our brides and grooms.

Last weekend, we photographed the wedding of Lysanne and Dave, and it was a classy and laid-back day of great company and outstanding food with closely-paired wines.

The ceremony took place out-of-doors, at the Botanical Gardens in Niagara Falls, and the reception took place at Stratus Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The meal was catered by Stephen Treadwell, himself. It was a great honour for us to work with Stephen twice in the past couple of weeks.

While mother nature threw us a windy day, Lysanne and Dave made the most of it, and were total troopers even through the inclement weather.

What I love about being a wedding photographer is that every wedding and couple is completely unique and has their own style, ideas and inspiration. I always find it fun and interesting to see their inspirations, thoughts and ideas come to life.

Kelly and Elder did something great with their stationary. They took advantage of their incredibly talented graphic designer bridesmaid, Kim, and had her use their engagement photographs in their Save-the-Date, their invitation, and their table menus.
